ICC T20I Rankings: Evin Lewis Makes the Cut into Top five Batsmen

The Windies southpaw batsman Evin Lewis has climbed into the top five batsmen in the latest ICC T20I rankings. The left-hander vaulted by 11 places to take the fourth place in the rankings ladder. Lewis had scored a sublime knock of 89 runs from just 36 balls in the series decider. The combative batsman was on fire as he smashed six fours and eight maximums in his knock.
Evin Lewis did the job with the bat whereas Keemo Paul was the chief destroyer of the Bangladesh line-up. Paul scalped five wickets for just 15 runs in the series final match. In fact, Paul had taken two wickets in the opening match as well. Consequently, Paul makes a big jump of 42 places to perch at the 30th rank in the table. Furthermore, Paul also played some crucial cameos in the series, which uplifted him by 34th place in the batsmen chart.

Meanwhile, Shai Hope is the other significant gainer after the three-match series against Bangladesh. Hope scored the third fastest fifty in the first match to make a gain of 82 places to claim the 82nd rank in the batsmen list. The right-hander had taken only 16 balls to smash the fifty.
Nicholas Pooran made a jump of 16 places to occupy the 88th place whereas Rovman Powell gained 26 places to take the 110th rank.
Sheldon Cottrell also took massive strides in the bowling chart as he climbed up the ladder by 64 places to occupy the 88th place. Cottrell had taken seven wickets in the series whereas Fabian Allen moved up by 86 places.
The Windies captain Carlos Brathwaite made a jump of eight places to take the 22nd rank in the bowler’s rankings. On the other hand, Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan made significant gains in all the three tables. Hasan moved up by one rank to take the second place in the all-rounder’s list. He gained three places to take the seventh rank in the bowler’s rankings. Furthermore, he vaulted by seven places to claim the 37th rank in the batsmen table.
The in-form Bangladesh opener Liton Das gained 26 places to take the 47th position in the batsmen rankings. However, Mushfiqur Rahim slipped down by five places to 52nd rank whereas Tamim Iqbal came down by two places to take 41st place.
