Batsman to Watch
TAMIM IQBAL
Bangladesh will depend mostly on their experienced cricketer – Tamim Iqbal. The left-handed opener has been leading the side from the front with the bat for quite some time now. So much so, that it will be Tamim’s form which will set the tone for the tournament for Bangladesh in the competition.
Although Tamim Iqbal in the ODI series against New Zealand but stormed back to form in the Test series with a hundred and two half-centuries. The southpaw will look to keep up that form going into the showpiece event in England and Wales.
Also, this is likely to be the last World Cup for Tamim who will look to make it worth-remembering for him.
Bowler to Watch
MUSTIFIZUR RAHMAN
Mustafizur Rahman burst onto the scene as a fast bowler with a lot of variations in his armoury. With a good cutter and a slower delivery, Rahman will be a piece of gold in the death overs for Bangladesh.
The 43 ODIs veteran has been economical and has 77 wickets to his name. This will be his first World Cup, and Mustafizur will look to prove his abilities to the whole world. Although a handful of injuries has been a setback for him, the young fast bowler has finally recovered and will be going to the big stage with full fitness.
Moreover, the left-arm fast bowler has been among the wickets and will hope to keep up the excellent work and help the Tigers win a few games.
