Hence, England was able to better their own record as they had scored 24 maximums against West Indies at Grenada in 2019. In fact, the West Indies also had their revenge as they had thwarted 23 sixes against England at Bridgetown in 2019.

On the other hand, 17 out of 25 sixes of England’s innings were scored by their captain – Eoin Morgan. Morgan was on fire as he was able to get going from the start. The left-hander launched his attack on Afghanistan bowlers as he took them to cleaners with a long handle.

There was no stopping Morgan as he played every shot with aplomb. In fact, Morgan had a reprieve when Dawlat Zaran made a casual at the boundary ropes when southpaw didn’t even reach 50.

Morgan played a blistering knock of 148 runs from only 71 balls as he batted at the top of his game. The England captain also scored four fours in his innings and batted at an outrageous strike rate of 208.45.
