The recent interview of Ravi Shastri has made quite a few analysts in the Indian cricket to raise their eyebrows. After terming Kuldeep Yadav as the number one in overseas, he revealed that the team is thinking to bat Virat Kohli at number 4 for the ICC World Cup 2019. Meanwhile, the analyst Harsha Bhogle feels it should be the skipper, who has to take a call.
Currently, Virat Kohli is batting at number 3 and already acquired quite a few blistering records to the team. The numbers he registered at that position has certainly made the former cricketers term him the legend of the game.
I don’t agree Virat Kohli dropping down the order – Harsha Bhogle
Speaking of the same, Harsha Bhogle, in an interview with Cricbuzz quoted that the numbers delivered Virat Kohli at number 3 and number 4 have been sensational. Further, he believes that the skipper has got the ability to play at any position but all he wants to ask is about the requirement for that change.

Harsha added that there is no reason to change the position, especially, by fearing to lose a wicket. Further, he believes that Kohli can negate the conditions by playing at number 3 and help India not to lose an extra wicket.
”The same question raised when India’s three openers are in brilliant form. Shikhar, Rohit and KL Rahul have been superb, which saw Virat Kohli being changed to number 4. He has been superb at four. But, I am not sure about the reason behind to bat at number 4 that you are afraid, he would get out. By being at number 3, he can negate the conditions,” Harsha Bhogle quoted.

”I don’t agree to bat him at number 4 because you are afraid of him batting at number 4. But, if they are trying for the balance by dropping him to number 4, it is okay. And, if we think that only batsman can win, we have already lost the game. Because there would be bad days for top 3 and good days for 4,5 and 6 batsmen,” he added.
I would like to ask where Virat Kohli wants to bat:
Further, Harsha added that he would like to know the opinion of Virat Kohli. He feels that has happened to Sachin Tendulkar, who asked to open the innings for the team and delivered the goods. Much to the same, he wants to know what Kohli thinks.

”I would like to ask where Virat wants to bat. That is what happened with Sachin Tendulkar. Because the best batsman knows when to bat for the team and win the game. I would also want to see someone telling Virat that the conditions are tough, you bat down the order,” Harsha Bhogle (in laughs) quoted.
Well, it would be interesting to see how India would cope up with the middle-order problem for the team. Most probably, it is going to be one between Rayudu or Virat Kohli is going take the role for the team.
