Bangladesh talisman all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has become the fastest player to reach the combination of 6000 ODI runs and 250 wickets. The southpaw batsman who is in great form with the bat in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019 took only 202 matches to reach the milestone.
Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi had taken 294 matches to get to 6000 ODI runs and 250 wickets in the ODI format. The greatest all-rounder of all-time Jacques Kallis took 296 matches to get to the personal landmark. Former Sri Lankan batsman Sanath Jayasuriya took 304 matches to achieve the record.

Shakib Al Hasan continues his dream form going.
Meanwhile, Shakib Al Hasan completed 6000 ODI runs in the ongoing World Cup fixture against West Indies. Hasan is currently batting on 87 runs and holds the key for the Tigers in the run-chase of 322 runs. The left-hander had the rub of the green on his side as the miss-communication between Shanon Gabriel and Shai Hope gave him the second life when he was on 55.
In fact, Shakib Al Hasan is currently the best all-rounder in the world and he is also placed at numero uno position in the ICC ODI rankings of all-rounders. The southpaw spinner has thus far scalped 254 wickets in the 50-overs version. The left-arm spinner had snared two wickets in the first innings of the ongoing match against West Indies.

On the other hand, Shakib Al Hasan also overtook Australia’s captain Aaron Finch to become the leading run-getter of the tournament. Finch has scored 343 runs whereas Hasan has now amassed more than 350 runs.
Shakib Al Hasan has been instrumental in the success of the team and he is playing a big role for Bangladesh. Hasan had also scored a fine hundred against England, however, his efforts had gone in vain.
