South Africa and Afghanistan will take on each other in the 21st match of the ongoing ICC World Cup. Both the teams are at the bottom of the points table and both are desperate for a win. South Africa was able to get a point under their belt after rain played the spoilsport against West Indies. However, the Proteas are yet to get a win under their bag. We take a look at Match Prediction.

Furthermore, South Africa’s injury woes have continued to trouble them. Lungi Ngidi is uncertain for the match and southpaw seamer Beuran Hendricks can make the cut into the playing XI. South Africa has lost the three matches they have played and they need to turn the tables quickly. In fact, every match is a do or die affair for Faf du Plessis-led side and they need to pull up their game.

South Africa also needs to pull up the socks in the batting department. Their top order needs to find form and the likes of Hashim Amla, Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram will need to deliver the goods. Moreover, South Africa has been sloppy in the field and they had dropped sitters in the match against India. Hence, their fielders will need to back their bowlers.

South Africa will begin the contest as favourites and they would like to come up with a complete performance. However, Afghanistan has the skills to surprise South Africa but they would need to play out of their skin.
