Indian skipper Virat Kohli has continued his love affair of breaking and creating new annals in the game. Kohli after scoring 37 runs against West Indies became the fastest to 20000 International runs in 417 innings. The talisman right-hander was able to better the record of Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara, who both had got to the milestone in 453 innings.
Former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting had completed 20000 International runs in 464 innings. Furthermore, former South Africa gun batsman AB de Villiers had reached the landmark in 483 innings. Moreover, Rahul Dravid was able to get to the milestone in 492 innings. Thus, Kohli became the third Indian batsman to achieve the record.

Kohli has been the most consistent batsman.
Consequently, Kohli became the 12th batsman to reach the mountain of 20000 International runs. Kohli has been in sublime and he has been the most consistent batsman in the world.

Virat Kohli has thus far amassed 6613 runs in the red ball version of the game. The talisman batsman has so far accumulated 11141 runs in the 50-overs format. Moreover, the Indian captain has scored 2263 runs in the T20 Internationals.

Therefore, Kohli has achieved great success in all the three formats of the game. The right-hander is currently batting unbeaten on 54 runs in the ongoing match against West Indies at Old Trafford, Manchester.

Kohli has thus far scored 41 One Day International centuries and he is looking good to break all the records. The right-hander has been in sublime form and he would like to continue his good work going.
On the other hand, India has won four out of their five matches in the ongoing World Cup. The Men in Blue are looking good to qualify for the semifinals as they need to win two more matches out of their remaining four games.
