Pakistan’s bowling coach Azhar Mahmood has launched a warning for England ahead of their second World Cup clash. Mahmood didn’t mince words when he was asked how his team is going to stop England juggernauts who had scored a record total of 481 runs at the same venue of Trent Bridge, Nottingham in 2018 against Australia.

Meanwhile, England and Pakistan had locked horns at the same venue 15 days ago in a bilateral series. Pakistan had posted 340 runs and England was able to chase it down with three wickets in hand.

On the other hand, there is a lot of talk about England getting to 500 runs in ODI format. Azhar Mahmood stated that England would need 300 balls to get to 480 or 500 whereas they need 10 good wicket-taking balls to get them out. Mahmood showed the belief in his bowling battery to come up good against the potent batting line-up of England.
Meanwhile, Pakistan didn’t have a great start to their World Cup campaign as they thrashed by the Windies by seven wickets. Thus, Pakistan will need to pull up their socks in the batting unit.
Azhar Mahmood said while talking to ESPN Cricinfo, “Definitely they have guys who can score fast. They can score 480 or may 500. They have the ability. But have the skill and ability in our bowling line-up. So they need 300 balls to get to 500 or 480 or whatever they want but we need 10 good balls, 10 good wicket-taking balls. And we have the ability and we have the skills and inshallah we will do that”.

Meanwhile, Pakistan will aim to make a solid comeback against England as they had lost their opening match against Windies. Men in Green will aim to come up with a better batting performance as they were put to the walls against short-pitched deliveries by West Indies.

On the other hand, there is no doubt that England is going to start as red hot favourites against Pakistan.
