The 2011 World Cup Man of the tournament Yuvraj Singh has predicted that India’s vice-captain Rohit Sharma could be the Man of the tournament in the ongoing World Cup. Rohit Sharma scored an undefeated knock of 122 runs in the first match against South Africa to help India get over the line.

Rohit Sharma scored a fine knock of 57 runs in the second match against Australia. The Hitman carried his form going as he scored a fine knock of 140 runs against Pakistan in the ongoing fixture at Manchester.

Rohit Sharma has scored 319 runs.

Thus, Rohit Sharma has amassed 319 runs at an average of 159.50 and strike rate of 97.32. Rohit Sharma is now the second highest run-getter in the tournament whereas Aaron Finch tops the chart with 343 runs in five innings.

Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh told Rohit Sharma not to worry when the Mumbai Indians captain was not able to convert his start into a substantial score in the IPL. However, Yuvraj Singh believed that there was a blessing in disguise for Rohit Sharma as he thought that big runs will come for him in the World Cup.

In fact, Yuvraj Singh shared that Sachin Tendulkar had told him the same words before the 2011 World Cup. Yuvraj had a sublime tournament as he scored 362 runs and scalped 15 wickets.
