 MS Dhoni has worked hard.

Yuvraj Singh stated MS Dhoni has a sharp mind and he knows his game better than anyone else. Dhoni knows when he should rotate the strike and what is the ideal time to go for the big shots.

”When you have played international cricket for so many years, there will be times when you are not batting well. The best thing is that his mind is very sharp and he knows when to take singles or when to go for big shots,” Yuvraj Singh said while talking to Hindustan Times.

Meanwhile, the Player of the Tournament in the 2011 World Cup, Yuvraj Singh revealed Dhoni has always been hard working. The southpaw batsman said Dhoni had also worked hard in the 2011 World Cup as he would bat continuously in the nets session.

In fact, the wicket-keeper batsman wasn’t in the best of forms in the 2011 World Cup. However, Dhoni rose to the occasion in the final of the tournament when he scored the match-winning knock of 91 runs from 79 balls against Sri Lanka.

“He’s always been very hard working. I remember in the 2011 World Cup, in seven days we had two off-days. MS would bat all those seven days and we would, at times, feel he was batting a bit too much. He has been very hard-working and that’s why he has been around for so long,” Yuvraj added.

MS Dhoni has all the experience under his belt and he will like to deliver the goods in the upcoming World Cup. Dhoni had not taken the gloves in the warm-up match against New Zealand as Dinesh Karthik was given the opportunity.

India will take on Bangladesh in their second warm-up match at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff today.
