IND A vs AUS A, Day 3 - Travis Head's Knock Keeps Australia A Noses in Front

In the ongoing four-day unofficial Test between India A and Australia A at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, the visitors started off their day three at 42 runs on their board taking a lead of 11 runs.

Moreover, there was a brilliant knock from Travis Head on day three who scored 87 runs off his bat. Usman Khawaja who scored a brilliant hundred in the first innings game some support to Head.

However, they build up a second wicket partnership of 81 runs for their team. Marnus Labuschagne again added some valuable 37 runs in the second innings with Travis Head. Mohammed Siraj picked up three wickets in the second innings including that of the danger batsman, Khawaja.

However, Australia A was struggling to score runs in the middle after Head departs. They were losing wickets in the nick of time. India A bowlers Krishnappa Gowtham and Kuldeep Yadav, each picked up two wickets in the innings.

Later, Michael Neser and Chris Tremain added some quality 50 runs for their team. Both of them have scored 25 runs individually. Meanwhile, a sudden throw from Mohammed Siraj showed Neser the way towards the pavilion.

However, Australia A sets a target of 272 runs in front of India A

India A opener, Abhimanyu Easwaran, and Mayank Agarwal padded up to chase down the target. However, Tremain bowled a good length delivery, and Easwaran had to depart scoring a golden duck of just seven balls.

Meanwhile, skipper, Shreyas Iyer walked into the crease to bat with Mayank Agarwal, however, couldn’t do much of it. He gave a simple catch to Patterson scoring 28 runs and smashed three huge sixes and two boundaries.

Mayank Agarwal and Ankit Bawne looked steady on the field and added 30 runs after they lost their second wicket.

However, India A needs more 199 runs to win the match, and they had a full fresh day to overcome it.

Brief Score: India A 274 and 63/2 (Shreyas Iyer 28; Chris Tremain 1/16) need 199 more runs to win against Australia A 243 and 292.
