IND vs SL 2017: Twitter Reacts as India Lose Three Wickets Before Bad Light Stopped Play

The first day of the first Test between India and Sri Lanka was affected by rain, as only 11.5 overs were bowled due to bad light.

Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bowl first on an absolute green pitch which appears to be a paradise for the bowlers. India went into the match with KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan as their preferred openers, but they both lost their wickets, as India ended day one with 17 for three.

KL Rahul got dismissed on the very first ball of the match. Suranga Lakmal had his eyes lit up seeing the green wicket and made full use of the conditions. He bowled six overs, picked up three wickets without giving away a single run. Virat Kohli was then dismissed for a rare duck as he got trapped in front of the wickets by Lakmal. Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya are currently unbeaten and will start the proceedings for the Indian team on Day 2.
