Indian cricketers are on a roll to marry, and in the last one year, we have witnessed many players tie the knot. The latest to the addition to the long list is Karun Nair. The Karnataka batsman got engaged to his longtime girlfriend named Sanya Tankariwala.
Karun Nair is the only second Indian batsman after Virender Sehwag to score a triple-century in Test cricket. However, he had to go through all the hardships in life like every other young player who dreams of playing for the nation. Nair followed the coach’s words to precision, piling on truckloads of runs in the domestic arena, till the selectors could no longer overlook his efforts.

With Ajinkya Rahane injured, the focus shifted to Karun Nair who didn’t disappoint the selectors. He romped away to an unbeaten 303 at Chennai Test against England during their 2016-17 tour to enter the record books. However, he never got an opportunity to play for India – one of the most unfortunate turn of events in the history of Indian cricket. Nair has piled on runs in the domestic circuits and is one of the top run-scorers in the last few years. He scored an outstanding 153 before the team selection for the Test series against South Africa. But surprisingly the selectors favoured Rohit Sharma which created a lot of furore among the cricketing fraternity.
However, Karun Nair has focused on what he can control and has kept on scoring runs for his domestic side. He last played in the IPL for Kings XI Punjab earlier this year. Nair played only game scoring five runs and didn’t get a match again. Although he has had a tough time inside the field, Nair is currently on cloud nine off the ground. The star batsman has now got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Sanya Tankariwala. Nair took to Twitter to divulge the news with his fans and followers.
