India beat England by 36 runs to clinch the inaugural T20 Physical Disability Cricket World Series, organised by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), in 2019. As a token of appreciation, the BCCI had honoured the team with a ‘dummy cheque’ of Rs. 65 lakh, presented to the team captain Vikrant Keni and Gurudas Raut on March 4 this year.

The situation has forced Ravi Chauhan, Secretary, All-India Cricket Association for Physically Challenged, to write to the BCCI chief requesting him to transfer the money directly to the players’ accounts, according to a report in Sportstar.
