India's Schedule For ICC World Test Championship After New Zealand Series

After a long time, India had a tough time in the extended version of the game. They were outsmarted completely by the Kane Williamson-led side, to taste their first series defeat in ICC World Test Championship.

Though the Indian National Cricket Team is almost confirmed to seal the spot in the final. However, there can be a danger if they lose more than average games against England and Australia.

Here we take a look at India’s ICC World Test Championship schedule after New Zealand series:

India tour of Australia for Border Gavaskar Trophy, 2020-21:

India and Australia are with same number of victories. However, Team India lead the table with 360 points in the kitty. They have seven wins in nine matches while Australia played 10 to win seven and lost two but managed to bag 296 points.

Thus, the tour would be a decider for the first place in the table (ICC World Test Championship). India has a challenging task to beat Australia as India need to play in Australian conditions.

Though they managed a victory when India last toured Australia, this time, they will pose a tough challenge with David Warner and Steve Smith in the ranks. And, add Marnus Labuschagne as well.

It will be four-match Test series with the schedule yet to be announced.

England tour of India:

India will be playing five test matches against England in January 2021. This is not a difficult task for India as it will be played at home. The climatic conditions and the pitches are much familiar and India has a good chance of beating England.

Meanwhile, England need to play with West Indies and Pakistan before series with India and England need to score points against the West Indies and Pakistan to give themselves the best chance against India.

It will also be a revenge series, as they were beaten by the English men when they last toured England. The series against England will also finish the calendar and will decide two finalists to play at Lords.
