Perhaps, every ODI, which MS Dhoni is playing for India in India could be the last time that Indians are seeing him in the Indian Jersey. With the retirement news taking a boost, the flamboyant cricketer might call it quits after the conclusion of India’s campaign in ICC World Cup 2019. However, you never know what can happen, as MS Dhoni isn’t someone, who takes calls based on the reports or rumours.

He is still fit enough to compete with the youngsters in the game of cricket. MS Dhoni is still the same match-winner, who can tackle the pressure and guide India to the victory ropes. However, it seems like fans don’t want to miss the opportunity of paying their tribute to Dhoni just in case if it is the last ODI in India.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the only player in the World Cricket, who got the privilege to lift all the ICC trophies as the skipper. He lifted Indian cricket to enormous heights with his skilful captaincy and the masterful batting during those crunch games.

Amidst, he returns to his home Ranchi for the third ODI game of the series. If the reports of quitting after ICC World Cup 2019 is true, this could well be the last time that Dhoni returning to his home with a national Jersey. In between, as a gesture of his service, Jharkhand Cricket has named a pavilion after MS Dhoni.

So far, MS Dhoni’s record against Australia has also been quite impressive with four consecutive half-centuries before scoring a duck in Nagpur ODI and also got 1600 ODI runs. He also got 13 fifty-plus scores against Australia, which is second-most by an Indian after Sachin Tendulkar.

India likes to take an unassailable lead:

Kohli would want his openers to perform well and come to the party. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan, for the last few ODIs, have failed to give a strong start to the Indian team. Apart from this, there are no worries for the Indian team.

They might bring Chahal or Bhuvneshwar Kumar into the playing XI. On the other hand, the visitors will be worried about Aaron Finch’s form. Finch has failed to score even a single half-century in this series so far. They might go with the same lineup. If they fail to secure a victory in the 3rd ODI game, India will bag the series.
