Renowned commentator Harsha Bhogle has put his weight behind Umesh Yadav. Australia required 14 off the last over but Yadav who is an experienced campaigner could not save the target. Subsequently, Umesh Yadav was trolled all over the social media platform. In fact, the die-hard cricket fans went on to call Umesh Yadav as a “Villain” in India’s three-wicket loss to Australia.

However, commentator Harsha Bhogle was not impressed by the trolling of Umesh Yadav. He took to his Twitter account and said that those people who are calling Umesh Yadav a villain doesn’t understand the essence of the sport.

Bhogle once again hits the nail on the head.

In fact, a game of cricket is a game of inches. Either an inch full or inch short could be a big difference in executing a yorker. Similarly, Yadav could not land his deliveries in the right place and had to pay the price. However, the fans must also try to understand the sport better.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah bowled a magical over as he gave away only two runs in the penultimate over of the match. Bumrah was right on the money as he scalped three wickets and gave away only 16 runs in his four overs quota. In fact, Bumrah also defended his fast bowling partner as he said that the execution of yorkers is a difficult job in the death overs.

On the other hand, Australia was able to keep calm to get over the line on the final ball. Jhye Richardson and Pat Cummins smashed one boundary each to get their team home.

Harsha Bhogle took to Twitter to share his thoughts as veteran believes we all have good and bad days. The post read, “Am hearing terrible words like “villain” used in the context of the last over yesterday. The only villains in sport are those that have a stake in losing. The others, like us, have good days and bad; they win some, lose some. If you call someone a villain, you don’t understand the sport”.
