India vs Bangladesh 2019: 2nd T20I, Rajkot – Match Report; Following the loss at Delhi, the Indian National Cricket team has taken their revenge on the visitors with a stunning show in the middle. The skipper Rohit Sharma took the onus on himself to smash Bangladesh bowlers to all corners of the park thus levelling the 3-match series to 1-1.

Match Report – Bangladesh Innings:

Initially, it was Rohit Sharma, who won the toss, asked Bangladesh to bat first. Though Deepak Chahar bowled a decent first over, Khaleel Ahmed was once again thrashed by the Bangladesh batsmen. Despite a couple of economical overs, Bangladesh ended up with 54 runs in powerplay overs.

Surprisingly, in the very next over, Liton Das once again got a reprive when Rohit Sharma shelled out a simple catch running back. However, his stay finally ended when Rishabh Pant displayed his skills to run out Das. He was quickly followed by Mohammad Naim while Mushfiqur Rahim failed to replicate his skills in the middle.

Soumya Sarkar delivered his best to get those quick runs in the middle overs. However, Yuzvendra Chahal tricked him to get the timely dismissal for India while Afif Hossain quickly followed the southpaw. Once again, it was Khaleel Ahmed, who leaked runs to see Bangladesh scoring required runs on the board.

Just when things looked drifting away for India, Deepak Chahar bowled it beautifully to bowl 4-run over in the final overs coupled with the wicket of Mahmudullah Riyad. In the end, all they managed was 153 runs on the board with Chahal being the pick of the bowlers for India.

India Innings:

It was completely a night of dominance for Rohit Sharma with the bat. Right from the start, he looked all-together in a different mood in order to make things fall in place. Almost in every over, Rohit Sharma managed to get runs at a higher strike rate for the team.

On the other hand, Shikhar Dhawan once again failed to get quick runs for the team, as he managed below 100 strike rate in the powerplay overs. Though he got a few boundaries after the powerplay overs, Aminul Islam once again got the better off him.

Despite that, the knock of Rohit Sharma has taken the game away from Bangladesh with ease. Rohit Sharma finished with 85 runs off just 43 balls while KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer completed the game for India. Needless to mention that Rohit Sharma bagged the man of the match award. For Bangladesh, Aminul Islam was the star performer with the ball.
