Yet another former Indian cricketer joins the list to throw stones at Indian batting. Dilip Vengsarkar lashed out at Indian batting for their poor approach and asked to hand the debut to Rishabh Pant at Trentbridge.,

The former legendary figure feels that the batsmen failed to give respect to the bowlers which saw the other side of the things. However, Vengsarkar was strong in his voice while asking Rishabh Pant to get a go.

Apart from Virat Kohli, nobody has shown application: Dilip Vengsarkar

The veteran added that India should immediately sort the issues in the batting lineup. He wants everyone to adapt as quickly as possible before losing out the series. Vengsarkar added that Rishabh Pant should be given a chance.

However, he is hopeful of India making a comeback in the series. Dilip is optimistic about the pitch being supportive to Indian spinners in the coming Test matches.

“Rishabh Pant should get in,” he told BBC Radio. “Apart from Kohli, nobody has shown that they could score runs here. Whether it’s English or Australian conditions, you have to adapt quickly. You have to apply yourself and get runs. You have to give respect to the bowlers,” Dilip Vengsarkar said.

Possible changes:

With the series at stake, one can expect a lot of changes to Indian lineup at Trent bridge. The top-order seems to be clueless in a previous couple of game and the team management might surprise with a new opener.

As Ravi Shastri and Virat Kohli said earlier, the flexibility in the team can help Team India to stage complete new openers in the third Test. They have the options of Pujara, Rahane, Rishabh Pant and Karun Nair as well to do the job.

Meanwhile, Indians got the goods news with Jasprit Bumrah being fit for the third Test. Most probably, Kuldeep Yadav will be out of the playing XI to make a way for Gujarat Pacer.
