India vs New Zealand 2019: 2nd ODI, Bay Oval - India's Predicted Playing XI

India drew first blood in the ongoing series against New Zealand as they convincingly won the first match by eight wickets. It was a comprehensive performance from the visitors as they came up with a collective batting performance. Thus, Men in Blue will like to continue their domination in the second ODI as well. We try to decode India’s Predicted Playing XI.
On the other hand, New Zealand will like to pull up their socks in the batting department. The hosts were not up to the mark in their batting performance and would like to tick the right boxes.
India was lethal in their bowling and borne fruits for their good show with the ball. Mohammed Shami asked the difficult questions from the host’s batters and they didn’t have the right answers.

Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma played a loose shot in the opener of the series. Thus, India’s deputy will like to tighten the screws as his form plays a key part in the team’s success.
Shikhar Dhawan
Shikhar Dhawan was able to return to form in the first match of the series. The southpaw opener scored a good knock of 75 runs which would have added to his confidence.
Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli scored a good knock of 45 runs. The Indian captain has been in sublime form and would like to continue in a similar fashion.

Ambati Rayudu could not deliver the goods in the two matches against Australia. However, the right-hander will like to grab his chance with both hands in New Zealand.
MS Dhoni??

MS Dhoni was able to return to form in the ODI series against Australia. Dhoni is an integral part of the team and his return to form is a big boost for the Indian team.
Dinesh Karthik must get back into the playing XI.
Dinesh Karthik

Dinesh Karthik has done a fine job in finishing the matches for the team. Karthik was dropped from the first match and it is pivotal that he gets his place back in the side.
Vijay Shankar

Vijay Shankar could have had his first ODI wicket had Kedar Jadhav taken the catch of Kane Williamson. Shankar will like to grab his chance with both bat and ball.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar went wicketless in the first match of the series. However, Kumar was able to return back to form in the ODI series against Australia.
Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep Yadav took four wickets in the first match of the series. Yadav also took out the big fish Kane Williamson and would like to keep delivering the goods.
Yuzvendra Chahal

Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal took two wickets in the previous match. Consequently, the leg spinner would like to continue his good form going.
Mohammed Shami
India’s Mohammed Shami has done a good job since he has come into the limited overs side. Shami scalped three wickets and he was awarded the Man of the match award.
