Updated - 07 Feb 2019, 02:13 PM
India was obliterated in the T20I series opener by 80 runs as New Zealand handed them their biggest defeat in the shortest format. The visitors were not up to the mark as their bowlers were hammered all around the park. Tim Seifert was able to hit the ground running as the right-hander careened to 43-ball 84. We try to decode India’s Predicted Playing XI for the second match.
The scoreboard pressure was always going to get under the skin of the Indian batsmen. Chasing 220 was never going to be a cakewalk and India kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Thus, the tourists were never in the match.
Subsequently, India will like to turn the tables in the second T20I at Auckland to keep breathing in the series. Hence, Rohit Sharma will like his team to tick the right boxes in the second match.
Here is a look at India’s Predicted Playing XI for the second match:
Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma could not get going in the opening match of the series. Subsequently, India’s stand-in skipper will like to deliver the goods in the next match.
Shikhar Dhawan
