As far as individual cricket is concerned, Mohammad Shami had made the most of the recent overseas tours than any other, especially, in limited overs format. The flamboyant fast bowler has delivered the goods to confirm his place for the ICC World Cup 2019 if not injured. He tackled Australians and Kiwis batsmen in a brilliant way to make things happen.

Now, Mohammad Shami has become the vital cog in the Indian bowling section, especially, in overseas games. After showing his ability in the ICC World Cup 2015, he was out of the team owing to injuries and few of his personal reasons also dented his career.

Somewhere in between Bhuvneshwar Kumar‘s masterful bowling and Jasprit Bumrah’s impact, the absence of Mohammad Shami never came to the notice. In fact, the brilliance of Kuldeep-Chahal show also made things look bleak for Shami in the side before receiving a call-up against Windies.

India needs Mohammad Shami in ICC World Cup 2019:

Meanwhile, the veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh is pleased with the performance of Shami. He believes that Shami will be crucial for India in the ICC World Cup 2019. Further, he went on to add saying that Shami’s recent performance speaks a volume of his character.

“I would like to talk about Mohammed Shami. He has been phenomenal. He is someone who India will need at the World Cup. And also, it is so good to see him picking up those wickets and winning the man-of-the-match,” Harbhajan Singh said to India Today.

Well, as Harbhajan Singh said, with the tournament being played in England, where fast bowlers come into the game, India should have a bowler, who can take you the wickets. Mohammad Shami has got the ability to keep the runs in check. And also, he can hit those uncomfortable lengths of the batsmen more often than not.

Mohammad Shami can be the great back up for Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah as well. With both bowlers being injury-prone, Shami can be the great option for the team. The experienced bowler can deliver, as per the requirements.
