During the first match of the three-match Twenty20 International series against Sri Lankan, Indian seam-bowler Hardik Pandya was infuriated with Manish Pandey when the latter aimed at the stumps of no avail.

Moreover, the throw from Pandey was far off from the stumps at striker’s end which subsequently ricocheted off Yuzvendra Chahal’s knee to race away to the padded-up boundary-line.

The 24-year-old Pandya conceded seven runs in his first over as the final ball of the very first over of Sri Lankan innings saw hosts conceding 11 runs.

Pandey and Chahal made a meal of the misfielding while leaking runs in the form of an overthrow, however, which did not affect much as Lankans failed to show even the resistance against the hosts’ decent bowling attack.

After conceding five runs in the first five balls while spearheading the bowling department, Pandya sent down the slower one right outside off that saw wicket-keeper batsman Niroshan Dickwella guiding the ball towards the point region before scampering for the run when his batting partner Upul Tharanga was making it to the danger-end, as Pandey rushed onto the ball to opt for a run out chance.

So much so, the ball missed the stumps that saw Chahal getting down late on his knee to the ball while backing up when Pandya was overheard that it was not deemed necessary who was enraged and having a world with his teammate Pandey.

The middle-order batsman Pandey, who is known as the swift in the field was stationed at the point region by the stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma.

Moreover, the wrist-spinner in the form of Chahal was the pick of the bowlers who bagged four wickets after giving away just 23 runs in his four overs, as the promising medium pacer Pandya claimed three wickets.
