India vs West Indies 2019, 3rd ODI - Toss Report

In-form India will be looking to make the most of their thumping win in the second ODI when they take on West Indies in the third and final game in Cuttack. India had their back against the wall coming into the second game as they had lost the series-opener by 8 wickets. The Men in Blue needed to win the game at any cost to keep the three-match series alive.
And the Virat Kohli-led side rose to the occasion as the hosts crushed the visitors by 107 runs. Centuries from Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul propelled India to a mammoth total of 387 for 5. In reply, West Indies were all out for 280 with Kuldeep Yadav’s hat-trick being the top performance with the ball. India will be favourite for the series-decider but the hosts should guard against complacency.
West Indies have shown that they can beat India on their day. On the ongoing tour, the visitors have already beat India twice and are more than capable of winning another game. With so much riding on the contest and both the teams in good form, the series-decider promises to be a cracking affair.

Toss Report:
India won the toss and decided to bowl first against West Indies at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack.
Here is what the captains said:
Kieron Pollard:
“I’m not exactly sure about how the pitch would behave. It’s a matter of assessing the pitch and playing good cricket. The batting has been fantastic, we have faltered at the back end of the innings when we bowl, we have stressed on the things we need to improve. Happy faces and everybody want to improve. Hopefully, the openers will set-up a good platform for the others to take it forward. We are playing the same XI.”
Virat Kohli:
“We will bowl first. Dew will be a factor, we played a match against England and defending 380 proved to be tough. It’s a good opportunity to bowl first on this pitch. The mindset needs to be right, we have won many Tests after losing the toss, the focus should be on the larger picture. Winning toss does give a advantage, but you can’t play reckless cricket. One change for us, Deepak Chahar is out with a back injury, Navdeep Saini makes his debut.”
