Team India produced a brilliant effort to restrict Windies for a mere 104 run in the fifth and final one-day international at the Thiruvananthapuram on November 1 (Thursday).
Meanwhile, Windies batsmen failed to justify Jason Holder’s decision to bat first. Bhuvneshwar Kumar drew the first blood as he removed Keiron Powell for a duck. He got his line right from the start as Powell edge one to MS Dhoni in the first over in pursuit of a cover drive.
Jasprit Bumrah didn’t lag behind too as he castled Shai Hope’s timber with an incoming delivery. More than the ball, Hope gifted Bumrah the wicket with a poor shot selection. Reeling at 2 for 2, Rovman Powell and Marlon Samuels tried to steady the ship for the Windies.

The duo although faced difficulties but the runs were coming by slowly. During this period, the cheeky battle between Khaleel Ahmed and Marlon Samuels was a treat to watch. Khaleel gave Samuels a send-off in the last match, however, Samuels kept it in his mind. After keeping out the first ball yorker out, Samuels struck a huge six over his head.

With 36 for three, it was time for Ravindra Jadeja who foxed Samuel’s as chipped the ball for a simple catch to Virat Kohli.
Jadeja continued with his magic as he trapped Shimron Hetmyer. Although the umpire gave not out Jadeja forced Kohli to go for the review to get three reds in his favour.
Furthermore, Khaleel Ahmed, who has impressed so far, dismissed Rovman Powell to sent half of the pack back to the hut. Khaleel continued his excellent run as the Windies batter failed to offer any resistance. Moreover, Ravindra Jadeja continued his dream run to return with four wickets as Windies put forward a target of 105 runs.

Bumrah’s reintroduction does the trick, the short ball is onto Allen too quickly and the top-edge is comfortably taken – #HisKohliness preparing to perform the last rites?#INDvWI ????#guerillacricket pic.twitter.com/RbVnAaNp11

The problem, I think, with @windiescricket is that they play #ODIs like 2.5 #T20Is rolled into one. #INDvWI
