India vs Windies 2018: Ajit Agarkar Lauds Khaleel Ahmed for his Performance

So, the night, which Khaleel Ahmed is dreaming since his debut had finally arrived on the other day. He grabbed all the headlines with a stunning spell in Mumbai. In return, he received high praises from the legends of the game and also kept weight on his selection for the 2019 World Cup as well. Ajit Agarkar is the latest to add praises on him.

Khaleel Ahmed bowling a beautiful spell to bag three wickets at the expense of 13 runs, which saw India seal the game by 224 runs. The plan he set for Marlon Samuels has been brilliant, which was the major highlight of his spell.

Good Sign to see Khaleel Ahmed perform – Ajit Agarkar

The former Indian fast bowler, who is also the selector for Mumbai, Ajit Agarkar quoted it was great to see Khaleel Ahmed performing for the team. He feels it would be a pleasing sight for the team management as well.

Further, he went on to add saying Khaleel Ahmed got the perfect conditions to bowl without pressure as well. However, Ajit Agarkar feels the youngster has bowled brilliantly to exhibit inswingers and outswingers beautifully.

“Today was a nice to bowl. Windies were 3 down at that point and he got the ball to shape, which would have given him confidence,” Ajit Agarkar quoted while speaking to ESPN Cricinfo.

”He got the length right more often than not beaten the bat. And also, cut the batsman through the shot,” cited Ajit Agarkar. “So, some good signs we saw there. Hopefully, that gives him a lot more confidence,” he added further.

Meanwhile, another presentee in the chat, Phil Simmons isn’t impressed with team India not allowing Khaleel Ahmed to finish his spell completely. All in all, it was a great night for the youngster. Probably, it would have given him enough confidence for the upcoming games.
