India vs Windies 2018: Farhan Akhtar 'Thanks Stars' for Virat Kohli

Bollywood star, Farhan Akhtar poured wishes on Virat Kohli for completing his 38th ODI hundred in Pune against the Windies. Meanwhile, despite Kohli’s heroic efforts, India failed to win the game, as Windies levelled the five-match series 1-1 with a 43-run victory.

However, after winning the toss, India skipper Virat Kohli elected to bowl first. The bowlers did some splendid job to restrict the Windies at 283 runs at the end of 50th over. Jasprit Bumrah made a superb comeback, as he picked up four wickets in the match.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli hammered his third consecutive century against the Windies, as the tally now reads 38 in ODI cricket. Also, in due course, he completed his 10th century in 2018 and sixth in the 50-over format.

Interestingly, Virat Kohli is the tenth player in the history of the game to register three straight ODI centuries. So far, only one batsman, Kumar Sangakkara has gone on to make four ton in a row. Previously, Kohli became the fastest player to achieve the feat of making 10,000 ODI runs.

Speaking of the game, Virat Kohli’s ton failed to inspire India to a win, as all-round efforts from Ashley Nurse saw Windies levelling the series. Meanwhile, Farhan Akhtar, who has been a leading producer and actor in the movie industry hailed the India captain. Akhtar further said Virat had redefined batsmanship and that he thanks the stars for him in the India team.

Farhan Akhtar congratulated Kohli for achieving yet another feat, and he wants Kohli to keep going in the same way he is performing right now.
