While the world is so busy in hailing the heroics of Prithvi Shaw, Virat Kohli and team India, slowly, Ravindra Jadeja is growing from strength to strength in his game. He showed his brilliance in England and then carried it in Asia Cup 2018. He brought the same form in Rajkot Test as well. Meanwhile, the former great, VVS Laxman showered words of praise on India’s spin bowling all-rounder.

However, the stylish southpaw smashed his maiden century on his home turf when team Indian locked horns with the Windies in the first Test. The knock came after playing for nine long years for the country, which made the moment special for the royal Rajput.

The century will do wonders for Ravindra Jadeja – VVS Laxman

The cricketer-turned-commentator quoted the maiden century will do a world of good for the youngster to come good for India in the upcoming games. He also lauded Jadeja for his way of dealing the things to make a strong return in international cricket.

The Hyderabadi also added saying the next few months are going to be crucial for India and he believes Ravindra Jadeja will deal the things well for the team.

“I was also delighted for Ravindra Jadeja. He has made massive scores in First Class cricket, and chipped in with half-centuries at the international level,” VVS Laxman wrote in his column to Times of India.

”But a maiden Test hundred does wonders for confidence like few other things do, and that it came on his home ground must have made it doubly special for him. It has been a productive last couple of weeks for the all-rounder, and he will look to build on it as we head towards a busy, important next few months,” Laxman opined.

However, as VVS Laxman said, it was a stunning knock from Ravindra Jadeja. The last couple of months have been exceptional for the youngster, and hopefully, he continues it for team India in the upcoming vital clashes.
