Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra has expressed his desire to see Windies pacer Oshane Thomas in the Indian Premier League (IPL) following his outstanding effort in the opening T20I against India at the Eden Gardens.
Meanwhile, Thomas, with his early strikes gave Windies some hope after their poor effort with the bat. They managed to put only 109 runs on the board after Kuldeep Yadav single-handedly rattled their middle-order. His three wickets ensured Windies have no firepower left to rescue them from a debacle.
However, it looked like a cakewalk for the host at the halfway mark. But Oshane Thomas had some other plans in mind as he made the new ball talk. Thomas, who was on his debut clicked 140 kmph on a regular basis to put the Indian openers in trouble. He got Rohit Sharma is the first over of India’s chase as he edged one straight to Denesh Ramdin.

India couldn’t recuperate from that loss before he castled Shikhar Dhawan’s timber with a scorcher. It was a length which moved a tad as Dhawan plays for the wrong line to have his off stump uprooted. He continued his stellar show but India resisted well to see off the target.
But Oshane Thomas impressed with his extra pace and perfect line and length and Aakash Chopra cannot stop gushing about it. So much so, he also wished to se the Windies speedster in the IPL.

“Oshane Thomas should be fined for over speeding. only one ball below 140kmp tonight. Would love to see him in the
#IPL this season.#IndvWI,” Chopra tweeted.
