Here comes the first warning for Khaleel Ahmed from the supreme board, the International Cricket Council (ICC). The ICC reprimanded the youngster, who gave an aggressive send-off to Marlon Samuels in the 4th ODI in Mumbai. However, the on-field umpires have sanctioned the charges on the youngster.

Meanwhile, Khaleel Ahmed, who got the wicket of Marlon Samuels, yelled at the batsman for a couple of times. As per the new rules, it is not acceptable to yell at the batsman repeatedly after bagging the wicket.
However, the newbie in the cricket circuit had delivered a firing spell in Mumbai. He finished a with a brilliant figure of 3/13 runs to dent Windies middle-order dearly. The excellent performance saw India seal the game by 224 runs.
He was found guilty of a Level 1 breach of the ICC code of conduct, for violating article 2.5, which relates to “using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during an international match”.
The on-field umpires Ian Gould and Anil Chaudhary along with third umpire, Paul Wilson, and fourth umpire C Shamsuddin levelled the charge. Khaleel Ahmed accepted the sanctions, hence, there is no requirement for the formal hearing.

After his debut in Asia Cup 2018, Khaleel Ahmed has impressed one and all with his beautiful display. Though he had gone for runs in the recent ODI matches, Virat Kohli and the team management backed him nicely.
Finally, the left-arm fast bowler delivered the goods in the 4th ODI in Mumbai thus living up to the expectations. It would be interesting to see whether team India continues with him in the playing XI for the upcoming matches. Meanwhile, he will be preparing for the final ODI of the series against the Windies.
