India vs Windies 2018: India's Probable Test Squad for two-match Series

After the completion of the Asia Cup, India will turn their heads to the bilateral series against the Windies. India first assignment on home soil will be a two-Test match series against the Carribean nation. The number one Test side had two disappointing tours of South Africa and England. Thus, India will like to get back to the winning ways. India’s full-time skipper Virat Kohli is expected to get back into the squad after taking a break from the Asia Cup. Kohli was the lone warrior on the recently concluded tour of England. Therefore, it would be a good chance for other batsmen to add to their confidence bag while playing in their own conditions.

Prithvi Shaw was added to the India squad for the final two Test matches against England. However, the prodigy batsman didn’t get his chances. Shaw has shown the promise to do well and he is expected to be in the squad. Meanwhile, Murali Vijay was able to find his Midas Touch while playing for Essex in County Championship and he is expected to return to the side.

Hanuma Vihari was able to impress in his maiden appearance as he had scored a fine fifty in the fifth Test match. Consequently, the right-hander can also make the cut. Meanwhile, the playing XI selection in the final Test match was harsh on Karun Nair and he would like to find his place in the squad.

Meanwhile, Mayank Agarwal should get his place in the Test side. He has been in prolific form in the domestic circuit and has done everything right to receive his maiden call-up. Thus, the Karnataka batsman should be included in the side to boost his confidence.
