India vs Windies 2018: Injury Update on Rishabh Pant

Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant injured himself during the second ODI match against the Windies, and he has given some update ahead of the third game, which begins on Saturday.

Pant says he’s recovering well

Meanwhile, the southpaw got the maiden ODI call for the ongoing series against the Windies. Later, during the Vizag match, Pant had injured his shoulder while fielding on the boundary line. The incident happened in the 36th over of the Windies innings when Rovman Powell hit a six off was batting off Yuzvendra Chahal’s batting.

After the injury, Rishabh Pant didn’t come to the ground, and Manish Pandey had fielded as a substitute player in place of him till the innings was over. Now, the question arises how serious is Pant’s injury and will he play the remaining games?

However, earlier media reports and Pant himself confirmed that despite he feeling a bit of pain in hand and shoulder, he would play in the remaining three games against the Windies.

Moreover, it was a thrilling match where both the teams had played some fantastic cricket. The game ended in a tie, but apart from the injury to Rishab Pant, a lot had happened to make it more exciting.

However, India skipper, Virat Kohli completed his 37th ODI century. He also slammed two back to back centuries in two consecutive matches against the Windies. Meanwhile, Kohli surpassed Sachin Tendulkar as he became the fastest batsman to achieve 10,000 runs in ODI cricket. Moreover, the right-hander took ten years and 66 days to accomplish the feat.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant thanked all his fans and wee-wishers for asking about his injury. Pant said he is better now and is also recovering well.
