After a thrilling Asia Cup 2018 victory, India is set to lock horns with Windies starting October 4 to November 11.  Jason Holder revealed the special gameplan against Virat Kohli. Windies skipper Jason Holder had a chat with News Nation about the young Windies team. He also spoke about Virat Kohli, the spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. In addition to that, he shared his personal goals for the tough tour of India.

The first Test match will take place from 4th October at Rajkot. Meanwhile, Jason Holder said that they need to hit the ground running in the tough conditions of India.

However,  the focus will now shift on the forthcoming  Windies series.

“Currently we are getting used to the conditions as the boys have arrived just a couple of days back. Some of the guys from the team were heavily involved with the T20 competitions, like the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), so we need to settle down quickly and work hard for the tour,” Jason Holder said.

Moreover, all overseas teams in India have struggled against the two quality spinners Ashwin and Jadeja. Thus, it is going to be hard for the Windies. Meanwhile, the exploits in the limited-overs cricket are carried on by Kuldeep Yadav and Chahal.

“Well, we need to have a clear game plan on how we will tackle their spinners. Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have done extremely well at their home conditions and are world class on their day and we need to be positive with our approach,” Holder added.

On the other hand, Windies will be relying on the top order batsman. They also have a balanced team and some players had come from a good CPL season. Jason is confident enough to take on India and is also excited to see their players playing some wonderful cricket.

“Our top order batsmen need to stake their claim for putting in some performances for the team, we have a good balance in the side and some of the players are coming from a good CPL season and are confident to take on India and I am excited to see what the guys can do.” Jason Holder added.

Windies will need to play out of their skin to cause an upset against the number one side in the Test cricket.
