So, finally, the day came for Prithvi Shaw to make his debut and add yet another glorious paragraph in his fairytale story so far. The flamboyant batsman made rapid strides in the game of cricket at the very young age to do the job for his country. Meanwhile, he breaks into the list of youngest specialist batsman to make debut for India.

Initially, Prithvi Shaw had received his maiden call-up when India toured England. However, he hasn’t got the opportunity to earn the Test cap for India. However, the wait is over, as the management finally gave the green signal.

Prithvi Shaw joins Sachin Tendulkar in the youngest to debut:

The Mumbaikar joined the list which is led by the another Mumbaikar. Prithvi Shaw becomes the fourth youngest specialist batsman to make the debut for Team India in the Test cricket.

He is 18 years and 329 days old while receiving the Test cap which makes him the fourth youngest. The chart has been headed by Sachin Tendulkar, who made his debut at the age of 16 years and 205 days.

The legendary Sachin Tendulkar has been followed by the Vijay Mehra, who played his first game at the age of 17 years and 265 days. The third place is booked by A Milkha Singh for making his debut at 18 years and 13 days.

Prithvi also becomes the second youngest Indian after Sachin Tendulkar to play his first Test with fewer first-class games under his kitty. Sachin Tendulkar played for India just after nine first-class matches while Prithvi Shaw has played 14 games.

However, it has been a beautiful ride for Prithvi Shaw in his career so far. The flamboyant batsman has got all the ingredients in him to make the big things happen in the coming future for team India.
