It seems like Rohit Sharma is in blistering form as far as limited overs format is concerned. He is knocking out the big tallies for India more often than not to surpass the records on a regular basis. Coming to the story, the latest record broken by Rohit Sharma was owned by the great Sachin Tendulkar and David Warner previously.

The vice-captain of India carried his willow to shoulder Indian team to victory against Windies at Guwahati. During the course, he brought his 20th ODI century in his 189 ODI matches.

Rohit Sharma crosses 150 for the sixth time:

The classy Mumbaikar knocked an unbeaten 152* against Windies on Sunday night. The new tally moved him ahead of Sachin Tendulkar and David Warner, who hold the record for most number of 150+ scores in ODI cricket.

Sachin Tendulkar has called the curtains on the game while David Warner is currently serving the ban imposed on him. It means that the record will be safe with Rohit for a long time.

The other cricketers to be within the range of the record are Chris Gayle, Hashim Amla, and Jacques Kallis. With Kallis already quitting the game, Hashim Amla and Gayle might be the competitors to take over from Rohit.

As it happened:

Replying to Windies 322 on the other night, India lost Shikhar Dhawan early in their innings. However, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma joined in the middle to knock it out for Team India.

The duo made the run-scoring look pretty easy with their top-class show. Though Virat Kohli (140) was dismissed on the brink of the victory, Rohit Sharma remained unbeaten to score 152* to his name.
