Indian skipper Virat Kohli and the records have a long-lasting relationship. Kohli has made it his habit to almost break or better previous records. Subsequently, the upcoming ODI series against the Windies is going to be another feast for the Indian captain. Kohli will like to keep writing the history books and would aim to continue his good show with the bat.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli will return to action in the limited overs format. Kohli was rested for the Asia Cup and had returned to the side for the Test series against the Windies. Therefore, the Indian skipper will like to hit the ground running for his team.

India will play the first ODI at Guwahati on 21st October against the Windies. Men in Blue have 18 ODIs in store before the World Cup and Kohli will like to find his perfect playing combination of the team.

Here are the records Virat Kohli might break in the forthcoming series.

221 – Virat Kohli needs another 221 runs to complete 10,000 runs in ODI format. He has thus far scored 9979 runs. Thus, he will become the fifth Indian batsman to reach the milestone after Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, and MS Dhoni.

187 – Virat Kohli requires 187 more runs to become the highest run-getter in India vs Windies matches. Kohli’s idol Sachin Tendulkar had scored 1573 runs whereas Kohli has 1387 runs.

2 – Kohli needs two more fifties to score 50 fifties in ODI version. The right-hander will become the seventh Indian batsman to achieve the landmark.

251 – The 29-year old talisman batsman needs another 251 runs to reach to 1000 ODI runs in 2018. Kohli will join England’s opener Jonny Bairstow. This will be the sixth time for Kohli to complete 1000 runs in a calendar year.
