While defending a mammoth total of 378 in Mumbai, two of the Indian fielders, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja were spotted putting their 100% on the field. Meanwhile, on the back of an excellent bowling performance, India had beaten the Windies by 224 runs to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match ODI series.

Quick Jadeja betters Kohli in an unusual sprint

Earlier in the day, the India skipper, Virat Kohli had won the toss and elected to bat first. The duo of Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan added 71 runs for the first wicket before India lost two wickets, including that of Virat Kohli.

Meanwhile, a 211-run partnership between two centurions, Rohit Sharma and Ambati Rayudu helped India post a daunting total on the board. India’s vice-captain hit his seventh 150 plus total in the ODIs, as he struck 162 off 137, including 20 fours and four sixes.

On the other hand, Rayudu found himself good in the fourth position and slammed his third century for India. He scored 100 runs off 81 deliveries smashing eight boundaries and four sixes.

Meanwhile, the Indian batsmen have made a habit of churning records at will. Rohit and Dhawan now have 3920 runs from 87 innings at an average of 46.11, as their best partnership stands at 210. The pair needs another 2689 runs if they wish to match Tendulkar and Ganguly at the top of the chart.

However, while chasing the target, the Windies couldn’t find themselves in a good position. They lost their first four wickets within a short span of ten overs. Moreover, there have been two sensational run outs from Kuldeep Yadav and Virat Kohli which dented their cause.

Meanwhile, there was an unusual sprint between two quick runners of Indian cricket, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja. In the first over itself, Hemraj Chanderpaul hit one through the covers and saw both the players running after it. Now, in the quest to stop the ball from touching the boundary rope, Jadeja outran Kohli and helped India save a few runs. In the video given below, you will see Kohli falling short of stopping the ball, as Jadeja completed the formalities.
