BCCI is all set to announce the contracts for Indian cricketers before they leave to play Nidahas Trophy. The decision was taken during COA meeting held yesterday (February 27).
“We have been requesting the members to decide on the matter. A proposal has also gone to them followed by reminders. But having got no response from the members to take up the matter, the CoA has decided to announce the contract policy. It will done in a few days,” a source told The Mirror.
Many of the players are set to be removed from the list while there may be few certain new entrants.

First talking of those who can be removed, are Yuvraj Singh, Karun Nair, Ambati Rayudu, Amit Mishra, Ashish Nehra, Jayant Yadav, Mandeep Singh and Dhawal Kulkarni.
Nehra had already retired from international cricket, hence, his name will automatically get dropped.
Barring Nair, all the players are not in contention to get selected in the Indian team anytime soon and might get dropped from the list.
Talking of new entrants, Kuldeep Yadav, Washington Sundar, Mohammed Siraj, Vijay Shankar seem to be included on the list.
Kuldeep is now almost a permanent member of the team in limited-overs format and is always a third spinner in Test cricket. The rest of the three cricketers have made it to the Indian team in recent times and looked to be standby players for those in the team. There can also be a reshuffle in the Grades of players.

R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, who were in Grade-A last year, may be dropped to Grade B.
These two players now only play Test cricket and have lost their place in limited-over to Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav.
Rohit Sharma, now the vice-captain in limited-overs format, can be elevated to Grade A along with Jasprit Bumrah.

Shikhar Dhawan and Hardik Pandya are also expected to be elevated to Grade B from Grade C. As per the reports; there will also be major salary hike for players.
The Grade A players like Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane might get a salary of Rs 12 Crore. Players in Grade B are expected to receive a yearly cheque of Rs 8 Crore. All the players in Grade C category might get a salary of Rs 4 Crore.
