Indian skipper Virat Kohli recently met the biggest BOSS, Sir Vivian Richards during the ongoing T20I series against West Indies. The 30-year-old cricketer posed for a photo with the Windies’ legend in Florida, USA, the venue for the first two T20Is of the series. Here is what Kohli tweeted.

Richards is considered to be the finest batsman of his era. The 67-year-old batsman played 121 Tests and 187 ODIs for West Indies. He scored 8540 in Tests and 6721 runs in ODIs. Richards was a part of West Indies’ World Cup-winning team in 1975 and 1979 – also scoring 138* in the final in 1979.
He was also a part of West Indies’ 1983 World Cup squad that ended up as the runner-up after losing to India in the final.
Kohli, on the other end, is considered to be the finest batsman in the present era. He does face competition from the likes of Steve Smith, Kane Williamson and Joe Root but he is cut above others due to abilities to score across formats.
Called as master of chases in ODI format, Kohli has played 77 Tests and 236 ODIs. He has scored 6613 runs in the longest format of the game at 53.76 while his 11286 runs in ODIs have come at 59.40. The quickest batsman to score 10,000 runs in ODIs, Kohli has a bright chance of finishing as top run-scorer in this format should he play for 5-6 more years.
With 41 ODI tons, he sits at the second spot in this elite list and is 11 tons short of taking over Sachin Tendulkar in this list. In Test cricket, he has 25 tons, one more than Richards.
Meanwhile, Kohli-led Indian cricket team has landed in Caribbean islands to play the final T20I, three ODIs and two Test matches. The 3rd T20I of the series will be played tomorrow in Guyana. It will also be hosting the first ODI of the series.
India are currently leading T20I series 2-0 and will look to whitewash the World Champions. Changes are expected to be made in team Inida’s playing XI. Deepak Chahar and Rahul Chahar could walk into playing XI while Shreyas Iyer could also be given a chance in the dead rubber.
