Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will travel to Delhi Daredevils’ (DD) home ground for the 52nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018. Chennai has already qualified for the playoffs stage while Delhi is the only eliminated team thus far. Consequently, the match is going to be a dead rubber on Friday (May 18) evening.
However, Chennai will look to add on to their confidence bag which is already almost full. Men in Yellow had defeated table-toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the last game and that was a shot in the arm for them. Thus, Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led team will like to keep their impetus going before the crucial stages of the playoffs.
On the other hand, it is yet another disappointing season for Daredevils. However, they can draw some positives from their dismal edition.
Rishabh Pant has come off age with his performances and he is delivering consistent performances for the Men in Blue.
Here is a look at the Predicted Playing XI of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK):
Shane Watson:

Shane Watson has taken his game to another level in this season. Many thought that his cricketing career in IPL was over after he had a mundane last season for RCB.
However, Australian all-rounder has come back strong while donning yellow jersey.

Ambati Rayudu is in the form of his life. The right-hander is hitting everything from the middle of his bat.
Rayudu had scored a superb hundred against SRH in the last match.
Suresh Raina:

Suresh Raina has done a good job for the CSK. Though, he hasn’t batted at the top of his game.
The southpaw will like to at the top of his form before the playoffs.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni:

We are witnessing MS Dhoni 2.0 in this edition. Dhoni has revolutionised his game.
CSK skipper is also coming to bat at the top of the order, which is making a difference.
Sam Billings:

Sam Billings didn’t get a chance to bat in the last match against SRH.
However, Billings form has dipped after his first match masterpiece against KKR. Meanwhile, England batsman is a livewire on a field.
Dwayne Bravo:

Chennai will look to keep their good form going.
The onus of bowling in the death overs is on the shoulders of Dwayne Bravo. The Windies has delivered the goods most often than not.
Ravindra Jadeja:

Ravindra Jadeja is bowling more than what he did in the initial stages of the tournament.
The all-rounder will like to deliver in all the three aspects of the game.
Lungi Ngidi:

Lungi Ngidi should return in place of David Willey. The Proteas speedster has impressed in the limited opportunities he has received.
Harbhajan Singh:

Harbhajan Singh has made good use of his vast experience.
The off-spinner has bowled with guile. Singh will like to keep delivering good performances.
Deepak Chahar:

Deepak Chahar is one of biggest positives for the Chennai Super Kings. Chahar has bowled with confidence. He has got the ball to swing at a good pace.
Shardul Thakur:

Shardul Thakur had bagged two wickets in the last match for Chennai Super Kings.??
Moreover, the fast bowler was also economical in his spell of four overs as he gave only 32 runs.
