IPL 2018: 52nd Match, DD vs CSK - Delhi Daredevils Predicted XI

Delhi Daredevils (DD) will serve as host to Chennai Super Kings (CSK), in the 52nd contest of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018. Shreyas Iyer-led team are already out of the tournament. Thus, they would play their penultimate match of the season for their pride.

However, Chennai is already through to the final four of the season. In fact, Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led CSK has had almost assured themselves of the top two finish. Thus, it is going to be a dead rubber contest.

Interestingly, Men in Yellow has qualified for the playoffs in each of the nine seasons they have partaken in.

When these two teams had met early in the season, Chennai had got the better off Delhi by 13 runs.

Prithvi Shaw:

Prithvi Shaw has impressed with his strokeplay since he is drafted into the playing XI.

The youngster is definitely a player to watch out for in the future.

Colin Munro:

Colin Munro should make his way back in place of Jason Roy.

Meanwhile, both these foreign openers had a disappointing season apart from one inning by Roy  which he played against Mumbai.

Shreyas Iyer:

Shreyas Iyer has led from the front since he is handed over the reins of captaincy.

Moreover, Iyer has shown a good technique in his batting.

Rishabh Pant:

Rishabh Pant is one of the biggest positives for the Delhi Daredevils. The wicketkeeper-batsman has hit the ground running with his combative strokeplay.

Vijay Shankar:

Delhi is already out of Playoffs race.

Vijay Shankar has impressed while batting in the lower order.

Moreover, the Delhi skipper can also hand over a couple of overs to the all-rounder.

Abhishek Sharma:

Abhishek Sharma had made his debut in the last match. The youngster had blasted 46 runs off just 19 balls. It was a fine performance from the young lad.

Harshal Patel:

The all-rounder was expensive in the last match against RCB. However, Patel can be utilised as a floater at the top of the order.

Amit Mishra:

Amit Mishra has made good use of his experience. The leg-spinner bagged one wicket in the previous match.

Mishra will like to deliver the goods for Delhi.

Sandeep Lamichhane

Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane had an impressive debut in the IPL.

The young spinner scalped one wicket. Furthermore, he was also economical in his bowling.

Junior Dala:

Junior Dala bowled a short length and he was penalised as he went for 34 in his three overs.

However, the Proteas speedster would have learned his lessons.

Trent Boult:

Trent Boult is the most impressed Delhi bowler in this season of IPL.

The Kiwi fast bowler has already taken 15 wickets in the 12 matches for Delhi Daredevils.
