Chennai Super Kings (CSK) head coach, Stephen Fleming has admitted that Ambati Ryaudu‘s is very ‘contagious’ after his unbeaten century against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Maharastra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on May 13.

Meanwhile, Rayudu made the tricky run chase literally a walk in the park for the hosting side Super Kings. Rayudu’s unbeaten 62-ball 100 not only brought up his maiden Twenty20 hundred but also saw him cross the 500-run mark. Well, it’s for the first time in the domestic professional league competition he has achieved such feat.

Rayudu has delivered for CSK each time he has come in to bat. The team did push him down the order to accommodate Faf du Plessis at the top, but Rayudu continued to score.

Rayudu’s form in infectious

Fleming credited Rayudu behind their success this season.

The former New Zealand batsman also talked highly of the opener and admitted that every team one such player at the top.

He is one of the key reasons we are sitting close to the top of the points table. He has not only dominated the run charts but the manner in which he has done so has been fantastic. You need one or two players at the top to fire if you want to win the IPL. Rayudu is doing that and some other guys like Shane Watson, Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni are chipping in strongly,” ToI quoted Fleming.

The former Kiwi skipper Stephen Fleming also believes Rayudu’s form has been remarkable alongside Kane Williamson and Shikhar Dhawan.

Much like Shikhar Dhawan and Kane Williamson from Sunrisers who make their skillset so infectious, Rayudu’s batting too has been contagious in the manner in which he has gone about his business,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, CSK plays Delhi Daredevils next on May 18 at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi.
