IPL 2018: Slight change has been made in the schedule of the T20 tournament

In the latest development, as per the media advisory of the Indian Premier League (IPL), some important changes have been made in the schedule of the eleventh edition for IPL 2018.
The season of the domestic professional league will be kicking off at iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The defending champions Mumbai Indians will take on crowd-favourite Chennai Super Kings-led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
However, as per the allocation of the IPL Governing Council, the impending edition is bound to witness a change regarding the Kings XI Punjab fixtures. It has been addressed after the logistical issues while taken into the due consideration.
To be precise, with the expansion work will be conducted at the Chandigarh Airport. It will further remain closed for three weeks. The scheduled work has been slated for 12th of May and 31st May respectively.
Moreover, the work will continue on Sundays in April which could hamper the preparations for the IPL matches in Mohali.
Owing to the permission, Ravichandran Ashwin-led Punjab will now host four home games in Indore. However, they will play three fixtures in Mohali.
Simultaneously, IPL has expressed the satisfaction after Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) has agreed to the much-required change.
While talking about the cooperation, Punjab has only three matches in Mohali which was bound to be four in the previous VIVO IPL 2018 schedule.
It further resulted in a change of the Delhi Daredevil’s fixture. The Delhi-based side will play an away fixture on April 8 which was earlier deemed as the homebound match.
Playoff IPL 2018:
On the other side, the fresh meeting revealed Pune is bound to host the Eliminator and Qualifier. The matches will be respectively held at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium on May 23 and 25 respectively.
