IPL 2018: Enjoying my Responsibility Here at the Kings XI Punjab - KL Rahul

Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) opener, KL Rahul has recently admitted he is enjoying the responsibility given to him in this edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Meanwhile, Rahul is currently the third highest run-scorer in league with 471 runs. He has provided stability to Punjab’s batting along with Chris Gayle.
Rahul, who represented the Virat Kohli-led team in the year 2013 and 2016, is happy he has been able to shoulder more responsibility for Punjab in comparison to the one he had done in Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
“With a new franchise, I have a lot of responsibility to shoulder. When I was in RCB, the major responsibility was on Kohli and AB. They were always at the centre of the batting force, for me it wasn’t that pressurising,” he told India TV.

However, Punjab roped Rahul’s services for Rs 11 crores at the dying moments of his bidding. He was almost going to Sunrisers Hyderabad when Punjab jumped in and bought him.
Enjoying my role here
Rahul tumbled IPL records after smashing the fastest fifty (14 balls) in his debut match for Punjab. Meanwhile, as the tournament approaches towards its business end, Rahul admitted he is enjoying the new role.
“I enjoy my role here. The form has been favourable, and I believe, I continue to do well in the season ahead. I had a little niggle in my shoulder before I came. I hadn’t batted much this season. After Nidahas Trophy, I came to Chandigarh and just practiced a bit before the first match,” he added.

Moreover, this red-hot form made way for him in the ODI squad that will fly to England in July. The swashbuckling opener will be eyeing to cement his place in India playing XI. Meanwhile, India will play against England across all the formats in July.
