Royal Challengers Bangalore dropped few surprises this season. They did not bid for Chris Gayle and Tymal Mills. They successfully got back the services of Aniket Choudhary at Rs 30 Lakh, a player on which they spent Rs 2 Crore last year.

In short, RCB decided not to take much risk and added proven players to the team. They spent big bucks on Navdeep Saini, who impressed everyone with his pace.

Along with that, they made smart purchases in the form of Brendon McCullum, Parthiv Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Umesh Yadav, Quinton de Kock, who all have shown their prowess at this level.

This team once again looks like a heavyweight side going into the tournament and is one of the strongest contenders to win the T20 tournament.

They have someone like Virat Kohli, who is a one-man force in himself while they also have AB de Villiers, who can win a game on his own. Despite having such a great team, they are yet to win even one edition of IPL.

This season, they will look to turn the tables in their favour. Here is their final squad for the IPL 2018:

Virat Kohli (Captain), AB de Villiers, Sarfaraz Khan, Brendon McCullum, Chris Woakes, Colin de Grandhomme, Moeen Ali, Quinton de Kock, Umesh Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Manan Vohra, Kulwant Khejroliya, Aniket Choudhary, Navdeep Saini, Murugan Ashwin, Mandeep Singh, Washington Sundar, Pawan Nagi, Mohammed Siraj, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Tim Southee, Parthiv Patel, Aniruddha Joshi, Pavan Deshpande
