IPL 2018: MSK Prasad Delighted to See Ambati Rayudu Delivering in Style

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) opener, Ambati Rayudu, who is on a roll in this eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has earned accolades from the chief of the senior selection committee, MSK Prasad.

Meanwhile, Rayudu’s consistent form saw him return to the Indian squad for One-day International series against England, this summer.

Moreover, the 32-year-old Rayudu registered a brilliant hundred to guide his team to the playoffs stage. Rayudu struck seven boundaries and sixes each to bring his triple-figure mark. As a result, he also reached 500 runs for the first time in the history of IPL.

Shane Watson and Mahendra Singh Dhoni also provided good support as CSK chased down the target with an over to spare.

With 16 points from 12 games, the Super Kings booked their place in the playoffs.

Moreover, the Hyderabad-born batsman has scored at an average of 48.63 and is eventually the fourth-highest run-getter with 535 runs. Rishabh Pant (582), Kane Williamson (544), and Lokesh Rahul (537) occupies the first three-spot respectively.

CSK play Delhi Daredevils (DD) next on May 18 at the Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi. They will look to continue the momentum as there are no chances of getting over-confident.

Happy to see Rayudu’s form:

The right-hand batsman’s Rayudu’s blistering form has earned him praises from all parts of the world. Prasad also joined the long list praising Rayudu’s immense consistency.

“I am extremely happy to see Rayudu’s form and consistency,” he told Sportstar.

Further, MSK Prasad is hopeful that Rayudu could continue on the run-scoring spree when they visit England in July.

“Hope he continues the same form with the Indian team in the coming ODIs,” Prasad added.

Meanwhile, India will three ODIs against the Eoin Morgan led side starting from July 12 at Bristol.
