Sunrisers Hyderabad‘s (SRH) overnight sensation Rashid Khan, who single-handedly took his team to the finals of this edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) thanked Ranveer Singh and revealed his favourite film.

Meanwhile, Khan was from a different planet in last night’s (May 25) game as he did no wrong in the game. Sunrisers banked on his individual brilliance – to thump KKR at their own territory.

However, things were different at the start of the game with Hyderabad coming back after four losses on a trot. Moreover, they made three changes to their playing XI going into this game, as Kolkata made only a solitary change.

Hyderabad got off to a slow start with Shivam Mavi reaping early result from the wicket at Eden Garden. The  Sunrisers, however, started to crawl back their way courtesy Shikhar Dhawan and Wriddhiman Saha.

On the other side, Shakib Al Hasan and Deepak Hooda also played a useful hand to take their team over the 100-run mark.

It was the young Afghanistan cricketer Rashid, who slammed 34 off just ten balls including four sixes to give the bowlers something to bowl at.

In reply, Kolkata got off to a flier with their top-order coming good. However, some back-to-back wickets in the second half of the innings shifted the momentum of the game.

With 19 runs needed from last six balls, Carlos Brathwaite picked two wickets to defend the score, as Kolkata fell short of 13 runs.

As a result, Hyderabad will face Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Sunday’s final at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Rashid reveals his favourite movie:

Meanwhile, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh took to Twitter, to congratulated Sunrisers and more specifically the Afghani sensation.

However, Rashid Khan was quick to thank the popular Bollywood actor and also revealed that Baajirao Mastani is his favourite film.

Moreover, Ranveer played the male lead in the movie.
