The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bowed out from Vivo IPL 11 after losing to Rajasthan Royals on Saturday.
It was a must-win clash for both the teams. Eventually, the Rajasthan bowlers were spectacular and helped them coast to a 30-run victory. Leg-spinner Shreyas Gopal was the wrecker in chief for Rajasthan finishing with terrific figures of 4/16.
Meanwhile, the tagline of ‘E Saala Cup Namde’ (this year cup us ours) has also been put to rest after their elimination.
Ahead of the tournament, all the Bangalore fans were confident of RCB winning the title for the first time. Captain Virat Kohli was also full of energy and hoped to give some joy to the Bangalore supporters who have been with them in all the 11 years of the tournament so far.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders stormed through to the playoffs after defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in their final group match of the tournament.
Coincidentally, two Karnataka players were instrumental in Kolkata’s victory. Youngster Prasid Krishna bowled quite well and ended up bagging 4/30 in his allotted four overs. His spell proved to be vital for Kolkata which helped them restrict Hyderabad to 172 from a position where they looked to score more than 200.

During the chase, Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine got them off to a brisk start, courtesy some sublime power hitting.
However, in the middle overs, it was another man from Karnataka, Robin Uthappa who played a sensible knock and guided KKR to the victory target. Now both Prasid and Uthappa have come together and urged the Bangalore fans to support Kolkata after RCB’s exit from the tournament.
Following the victory for Kolkata, Uthappa took an interview of Prasid Krishna who managed to restrict Hyderabad to a reasonable score.
They also gave RCB’s slogan “E sala Cup Namde” for Kolkata. They are hopeful of the fact that Kolkata will go on to lift their 3rd title.
