Over the last three seasons of Indian Premier League (IPL), the Sunrisers Hyderabad proved to be a force to reckon with.
In the year 2016, Sunrisers won their maiden IPL title, powered by their talismanic captain, David Warner.
Defending their trophy in the previous season, they were hard done by the DLS method in the eliminator clast against Kolkata Knight Riders.
However, this year of IPL, Sunrisers Hyderabad, despite the absence of Warner, turned out to be a heavyweight in the tournament, captained by the inspirational Kane Williamson.
After remaining almost unbeaten throughout the majority of the tournament, SRH ended up, as table-toppers during the league stages.
When they look back at this season, there was only one team they were unable to get the better off, despite four chances in a single tournament.
And, it was the eventual winners of the tournament, Chennai Super Kings, who they failed to conquer.
“Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn. The price of success is hard work, dedication, and determination that whether we win or lose, we have given it our all and left it all on the field,” posted Shikhar Dhawan on Instagram.

“We will be back next year, stronger and more determined to win the trophy. We are the #orangearmy. A big Thank You to all the fans for the tremendous love and support you showed throughout the season,” concluded Shikhar Dhawan.
