Former Indian captain, Sourav Ganguly is hopeful that MS Dhoni translates his IPL form into International cricket.

Chennai Super Kings captain has scored 360 runs at a staggering average of 90 and a sky-high strike rate of 165.90.

Dhoni has looked at the top of his game in the ongoing season. Furthermore, it is noted the wicketkeeper-batsman is batting with more confidence.

MS is batting at the top of the order which is giving him a chance to face more deliveries. Hence, he is playing with more freedom.

The former Indian skipper is also hitting the ground running with his performances. Dhoni wasn’t in the best of forms in the last couple of years, and Sourav Ganguly hopes the World-Cup winning captain carries on with his good show.

India will play two T20Is in Ireland, three T20Is and as many ODIs in England.

Ganguly said he was a bit surprised with the exclusion of Rishabh Pant in the Indian squad.

“Another surprise omission is Rishabh Pant, so selectors very rightly been placing their confidence in MS Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik. Very happy with MS Dhoni’s form, probably he’s batting his best at the moment. Hope he translates his IPL form in international cricket,” Ganguly told India Today.
